MAG administers the CDBG Small Cities Program for Summit and Wasatch Counties in coordination with the Utah Housing and Community Development Division and aims to assist in developing viable communities by providing decent housing, a suitable living environment, and expanding economic opportunities, primarily for income-qualified persons. Mountainland Association of Governments (MAG) will hold a public hearing to discuss the project that was applied for in the CDBG Small Cities Program in Program Year 2026.Summit/Wasatch CDBG Program Administration. This project encompasses the preparation of the Annual Action Plan, conducting "How-to-Apply" workshops, providing technical eligibility assistance to applicants, and administering a regional rating and ranking system for all eligible entities. Comments will be solicited on the project scope, implementation, and its effects on residents.The hearing will begin at 1:30 PM on April 14, 2026, and will be held at 586 E. 800 N. Orem, UT 84097. In collaboration with Summit and Wasatch Counties, all of the towns within, service providers, and residents, the 5-Year Consolidated Plan was completed to identify regional priorities. The plan was completed following an outline provided by the State of Utah and maintains the region’s eligibility for Utah Small Cities CDBG funds and other HUD formula funds.
